CANOE KENTUCKY's Headquarters Outpost provides comprehensive paddle sports services: complete livery (canoe, kayak, and raft rentals with shuttles); total paddling and outfitting retail shop; full instructional programs. Bluegrass Canoe manufacturing facility;repairs; and full trip planning and video library.
Rentals range from $26 to $46 per boat for canoes and kayaks and $30-35 per raft slot, including a safety video, paddling tips, paddles and life jackets, parking and shuttle service door-to-door, or-to-car, as the case may be. Departures are hourly; and reservations are required, which are confirmed by a $15 deposit for each boat/slot.
Cancellations are accepted up to three days from departure, in case of dangerous weather or water levels, or if replacements are available. Trip choices include slow floats on the North Fork (beginners and small children), more interesting moving water on the South Fork, stronger current with riffles and small rapids on the middle and lower Main Elkhorn, and Class II+whitewater in the Elkhorn Gorge. Charter trips to other streams are also available year-round on request.
The Georgetown Outpost offers hourly pool paddling on the North Fork at Osers Landing, trips both up- and down-stream, at Cardome Landing on US 25 north, and at the new Great Crossing Park on US 460 west of town. Rates start at $7/hour/boat and $30-40/boat for the trips, depending on the distance and shuttle(s) required. All waters are gentle Class I with little current or rapids.

Directions: to Peaks Mill HQ: take Exit 53 off I-64 at Frankfort and proceed north on US 127, following our "CANOE KENTUCKY" signs for the 14 miles from the interchange to routes 1900 and 1262 north to our Shop. Please drive safe! Country roads can and do have sharp curves!
