Dear Friends of the Elkhorn,
A bad news - good news dilemma: Yes, we at CANOE KENTUCKY bought the large old mill at the Forks of Elkhorn; but we are gridlocked about what to call it. W E N E E D Y O U R H E L P !
One of us thought a contest might get others to give us some ideas. Another thought we should have a focus group of customers give us the benefit of their think-ing. So, we put them together and came up with a "Name that Store" contest with a prize of a $500 gift certificate on in-stock items announced through the press for widespread chances for people to win.
A few rules, though, are necessary:
1) a maximum of 5 words (keep it short & simple); 2) it
must reflect our wanting to separate our retail and Peaks Mill rental functions
but adding biking, eco-tours, demos, canoe building/kayak repairing, fish-ing
supplies and outfitting functions to the Forks location; and 3) it needs to be
eye-catching and imaginative.
We need to resolve this question ASAP.
Deadline:
You have between now and Monday, November 23 at 6:00 PM EST to
participate.
The final choice will focus on available parking, which is limited at the Forks, the need to not confuse those who want to rent boats with this additional location, and the need to be clear that the Forks facility offers much more than paddlesports retail items. So, this is not an easy nut to crack.
